Deja Vazquez
Binghamton High School
Year/Grade They Started Liberty: 2013, 9th Grade
Year Graduated: 2016
College: SUNY Broome
Where Are They Now: Attended SUNY Broome for a year and then took a break to regain focus.
“Liberty Partnerships shaped my life because I learned how to give more to the environment which I am living in. I know I’ve learned a lot, from learning to find myself, to learning about the importance of a community. All of the science experiments and education lessons were so fun and interesting. When working with the kids, they look up to you. That to me is a great feeling. Think about how you could be someone’s next role model.”

Dominic Lafluer
Binghamton High School
Year/Grade They Started Liberty: 2013, 10th Grade

Where Are They Now: Modeling for designers and making music, working to sign a major deal in both areas.
“Liberty Partnerships was definitely something that gave me hope both in and outside of school. I participated in learning activities and experiences that I still hold close to me.”

Christopher Moore Jr.

Year Graduated: 2018

“Some events I enjoyed were Stand for Children, community clean up projects, and the regular talks that gave advice and guidance on how to handle things that go on in our everyday lives.”

Tayshaun Williams
Binghamton High School
Year/Grade They Started Liberty: 2014, 10th Grade
Year Graduated: 2016
Where Are They Now: Working for the state of New York as a DDSCA-1, supervising both males and females with mental disabilities in a secure facility ensuring their safety and the safety of the people around them, while teaching them everyday tools to live an independent lifestyle.
“Liberty Partnerships shaped me into the positive person I am today. LP taught me that it’s the little things that can change someone’s life, like painting a mural in the Saratoga Housing complex; bringing light to the community and making people smile as they walk past it. The same goes for the clothing drive we did. It was nothing for us to take the time out to do things like this, but it meant the world to others and it made an impact bettering our community. LP helped me a lot in the classroom because as a role model for my community, I wanted to set a great example for the kids that looked up to me.”

Alexzandria Pack
Binghamton High School
Year/Grade They Started Liberty: 2010
Year Graduated: 2014
Where Are They Now: Aspiring singer and songwriter
“Liberty Partnerships allowed me to have the creative freedom in and out of the classroom. This helped with my self-expression; I was able to have any idea and think it out loud. This really helped me come out of my shell.”

Mattias Hime
Binghamton High School
Year/Grade They Started Liberty: 2016, 10th Grade
Year Graduated: 2018
College/Major: Wilkes University
Where Are They Now: Currently in college at Wilkes University
“I had sustained a serious injury during my senior year football season which impacted my ability to participate in many activities, but I loved when all of us at Liberty Partnerships got together and did things. I participated at the Rec Park Stand for Children Event, which was fun to put a smile on kids faces.”

Eli Prosper
Year/Grade They Started Liberty: 2006, 7th Grade
Year Graduated: 2012
College/Major: Ohio Christian University/Emergency Management and Business
Where Are They Now: Serving as a Team Leader with City Year in Philadelphia
“All of my mentors spent hours investing their time, resources, and currency with nothing to base their investment off of but hope. Hope that I would graduate high school, hope that I would excel through college, and hope that I would become a functional and active citizen in today’s society. Without that investment and without that blind faith that I would turn out be a functioning member in our society, I would not be where I am today.”

Briana Tillotson
Year/Grade They Started Liberty: 2015; Junior Year
Graduated: 2017
College/Major: SUNY Oswego/Political Science
Where Are They Now: Current College Student
“Without LPP and the people I met there, I’m sure I wouldn’t have been able to reach my goals. I am forever grateful.”

“Liberty Partnerships, under the leadership of Tracy Parker, is the reason I graduated high school. I could have been a statistic. Instead, I graduated with honors and can attribute much of that to LPP. I cannot thank the program, and Tracy, enough. The guidance and positive encouragement meant everything to my teenage self”

Junior Time

Year Graduated: 2014
College/Major: SUNY Oswego/Human Development Major, Minor in Public Justice, pursuant of Masters in Higher Education or Counseling

“Liberty taught me about professionalism, how to dress for an interview, and how to shake someone hands upon first meeting with them. What I took away from Liberty Partnerships is to never be content with yourself, never stop trying to better yourself and the people around you. I learned that nothing great can be achieved alone, you always will need a team with people wanting to achieve the same goal.”

“When I am not working or coaching, I always make time to pay homage to my Liberty roots and go back to visit my Liberty counselor, support Liberty events, and speak to the new students who are following a path I too had once taken. My commitment to making a positive impact on the youth in my community is fueled by my passion to help other young people achieve their goals and become successful.”
